Read & publish agreements, also called transformative agreements, are contracts between libraries and publishers that allow researchers to publish freely or at a reduced fee in a publisher or society's journals. This, combined with initiatives like S2O (Subscribe to Open) allow Marquette-authored research to reach a broader audience.

Marquette University has entered into agreements with publishers to waive article processing charges (APCs) or offer publishing at a reduced fee for Marquette University faculty and graduate student corresponding authors.
